Wondernest is a re-imagination of a virtual classroom platform that was created specifically with Elementary Special Ed students and teachers in mind. Wondernest aims to enhance the SPED virtual school experience by integrating Augmentative Communication boards for non-verbal students into the platform, as well as adding helpful routine indicators, digital praise stickers for behavioral and academic rewards, and engagement enhancers like digital costumes for the teacher's use during lessons.
The visual concept for Wondernest is based on the desire for more personal touches typically missing from a virtual school experience. Knitted textures and an autumn toned color palette evoke warm, cozy & comforting feelings.
